Hoy vamos a retroceder un poco en el tiempo.

Vamos a volver a la temporada Primavera-Verano 2011.

Custo Barcelona se encarga de vestir en esta ocasión a Paula con un vestido estampado lleno de brillo, luz y color.

Se trata de un vestido de raso rosa, de palabra de honor, con un estampado simétrico de caballitos de mar y algunos toques en color negro.

Como podéis ver, la caída es muy bonita y fresca, y es un vestido perfecto para dar un toque de color en bodas de final de verano donde ya podemos oler el otoño.

Pero, como siempre, vayamos paso a paso!

Empezaremos por el escote. El contraste es obvio, y pasamos de un rosa estampado a un escote azul brillante, a juego con los detalles. Hace un pecho muy bonito, y los colores y el tejido nos llevan a pensar en las sirenas. La banda azul oscuro nos divide el vestido en dos partes claramente diferenciadas, pero a la vez perfectamente encajadas.

Un detalle a destacar es que en la falda tenemos bolsillos, algo muy cómodo que, en mi opinión, deberían incorporar todos!

Y ahora, la parte del vestido que realmente lo diferencia. Tenemos una espalda abierta en forma de V, elegante y sensual al mismo tiempo. Es la continuación de la parte de delante, todo en el vestido fluye con naturalidad. Mucha gente piensa que la parte más bonita de una mujer es la espalda… ¿por qué no lucirla de una manera especial con un vestido así?

En cuanto a los zapatos, hemos elegido una sandalia en color negro de Zara. Con tanto colorido tenemos un montón de tonos entre los que elegir para optar por unos zapatos u otros, pero yo me he decantado por el negro, ya que así resaltamos los detalles más pequeños de este color.

Para los complementos, un brazalete vintage en color plateado, pero vosotras podéis elegir pulseras de color rosa, negro, azul… Es lo bueno de un vestido así, que nos da mucho juego a la hora de poner los complementos.

Como habéis podido ver, no he querido poner collar, el vestido ya dice mucho por sí solo!

Por lo que respecta al peinado y al maquillaje, hemos optado por algo bastante sencillo. Esto es porque el vestido ya es muy llamativo y colorido, y si hacemos algo más complicado, creo que es demasiado.

Para el pelo, una trenza de raíz desenfadada. Si tienes el pelo más corto puedes hacerte un recogido informal con un moño bajo o directamente dejártelo suelo. Pero, en mi opinión, si tapamos el vestido con el pelo pierde toda su gracia!

El maquillaje es muy suave, con sombras claritas y raya negra. No os olvidéis del rimmel!

En definitiva, os invito a que seáis atrevidas. Con los colores, con las telas, con los contrastes. Custo Barcelona se caracteriza precisamente por esto, y podemos aprovechar sus looks y estampados para estar perfectas para el evento.

Today, we are going to go back in time.

We are going back to Spring-Summer 2011 Season.

This time, Custo Barcelona is in charge of wearing Paula with a print dress full of brightness, light and colour.

It is a pink strapless satin dress, with a simetric print of seahorses and some touches in black.

As you can see, the drape is very beautiful and fresh, and it is a perfect dress to give a colourful touch to the  the end-of-summer weddings, where we can Shell the autumn.

But, as always, let’s go step by step!

We will start with the neck. The contrast is obvious, and we go from a print pink to a blue and bright neck, coordinating with the details. It makes a very beautiful chest, and the colours and cloth make us think of mermaids. The dark blue sash divides the dress into two different parts, but, at the same time, it’s perfectly fit.

An important detail to emphasize is that  the skirt has pockets, something very comfortable that, in my opinion, should incorporate everything!

And now, the real difference in of the dress. It has an open back “V” shape,that is elegant and sensual at the same time. It is a continuation of the front of the dress, everything in it flowing naturally. A lot of people think that the most beautiful part of a woman is the back… so why not show it off in a special way with a dress like this?

Regarding the shoes, we have chosen black Zara sandals. With so much colour we have a lot of tones in which to choose, but I have opted for black, so we can emphasize the little details in this colour.

And a vintage silvery bracelet. You can choose bracelets in other colours: pink, blue, black… That’s the good thing about this dress, it complements.

Now, the hairstyle. We have chosen something simple: a braid. If your hair is shorter, you can wear a bun.

The make-up is very soft, with light shadows and black eyeliner. Don’t forget the rimmel!

Definitely, I invite you to be adventurous. With the colours, the cloths and th contrasts. Custo Barcelona is characterized by this, and we can take advantage of its looks and prints to be perfect in the event.

Verano amarillo – Yellow Summer.

Hoy vamos a hacerle un guiño al verano.

Al Sol, a las flores, al olor a hierba cortada, al calor, a las ganas de salir a la calle, y dicho sea de paso, de ponerse guapa.

Y más si tenemos una boda o cualquier otro evento que nos pida arreglarnos un poquito más.

Una vez más he querido enseñaros un look barato, y además de esta temporada (por si os pasa como a mí y os enamoráis de él en cuanto le veáis).

Dos llamadas, una a 24-200 Fotógrafos y otra a Anais, ¡y éste es el resultado!

Hoy contamos con un vestido amarillo limón, corto, y de mangas abiertas. Es un vestido perfecto para un evento celebrado por la mañana, y por su color y su tejido, para este verano.

Como podéis ver en la foto, el punto fuerte de este vestido son las mangas. No hay estampado, no hay vuelo, no hay detalles… hay unas mangas largas que están abiertas por debajo y que le dan EL toque.

Dicho esto, sobra decir que lo que toca con este vestido es prestar mucha atención los complementos. En este caso, en negro.

El cuello es cerrado, por lo que para esta ocasión hemos elegido un collar de abalorios que tiene forma triangular (Pull&Bear). El efecto del negro sobre el amarillo queda muy bonito, ¡y creo que puedes atreverte con algo más grande si te apetece! Incluso meter colores que combinen con el amarillo como por ejemplo el naranja, el azul marino y el rosa pálido.

En cuanto al bolso, he elegido un bolso de mano de cuero negro con tachuelas doradas (ZARA). El dorado y el amarillo son dos colores que combinan bastante bien, y le dan un poco de brillo y color al bolso oscuro.

Para terminar, los zapatos. De nuevo, para seguir con la línea de colores escogida, tenemos unas sandalias de cuero negras (ZARA). Yo soy partidaria de llevar tacones a este tipo de eventos, y sé que acaban doliendo los pies. Así que llévate unas sandalias planas chulas para cuando empiece el baile!

Today we are going to wink at Summer…

At the Sun, at the flowers, at the smell of grass cut, at the heat, at the feel of going out, and of course, at the feeling of being beautiful.

Once more, I want to show you a cheap look, and a season look.

After two calls—one to 24-200 Fotógrafos and one to Anais—this is the result!

Today we have a short and yellow dress, with opened sleeves. It is a perfect dress for an event celebrated in the morning, and because of its colour and cloth, for this Summer.

As you can see in the picture, the importance of this dress is in the sleeves. There is no pattern, no fullness, no details… but there are large sleeves that are opened under the arm, which give THE touch to the dress.

With this said, it’s clear that with this dress we have to pay special attention to the complements. In this case, those in black.

The neck is closed, so I have chosen a triangular necklace with glass bead. The effect of the black over the yellow is very beautiful, and I think that you can dare to wear a bigger necklace of you want! You could also use colours that combine with the yellow such as orange, dark blue and light pink.

As far as the bag is concerned, I’ve chosen a black hand-bag of leather with golden tacks. Gold and yellow are well combined, and the tacks give brightness and colour to the dark bag.

Finally, the shoes. Again, to go on with the line of the chosen colours, we have black leather sandals. I like to wear high heels in this kind of events, and I know that they hurt after some hours of wearing them. So take with you cool flat sandals to wear them when the dance starts!

Invitada noche – Night guest

Vi este vestido hace unas cuantas semanas, no lo compré, pero estuve pensando en él un montón de días.

«Este vestido tiene que salir en el blog«. ¡Y así ha sido!

Una vez más, 24-200 Fotógrafos hizo un gran trabajo 😉

Se trata de un vestido de fiesta de El Corte Inglés, perfecto para un evento por la noche. Ahora que viene el verano, me pareció ideal si tenemos que ponernos un poquito más elegantes.

Como siempre,¡iremos paso a paso!

Como podéis ver, es un vestido color crema con escote en palabra de honor. Todo él es de tul, excepto la banda horizontal que hay debajo el pecho.

El drapeado del pecho disimula el poco pecho, así que atrévete con uno de estos si es tu caso, te va a quedar genial!

La falda es impresionante! Cae desde debajo del pecho, lo que lo hace favorecedor para todo tipo de cuerpo.

En cuanto a los zapatos, he elegido unos zapatos de tacón negros con plataforma (Imagine), me pareció una buena idea para romper con los tonos claros del vestido.

Como complementos elegí un collar finito y una pulsera de Swarovski que ya os he enseñado en otra ocasión (DBC – Look invitada).

Otra vez os invito a que os sintáis guapas aunque las normas digan que ese color no va con vosotras o aunque en los libros ponga que no va bien con tu figura.

Ángel azul – Blue angel

Sí, ángel azul.

Por el vuelo, la frescura y el azul del cielo en una noche de verano.

Aquí tenéis la nueva propuesta.

Me enamoré de este vestido en cuanto lo vi, y no dudé ni un segundo en llamar a 24-200 Fotógrafos para enseñaros este look.

De nuevo, un vestido apto para todos los bolsillos. Esta vez he confiado en Sfera para crear un look de invitada perfecto para un evento esta primavera o verano, que por su forma, podemos llevarlo tanto de día como de tarde o noche.

¡Vayamos paso a paso!

Primero, centrémonos en la parte de arriba.

Tenemos un escote corazón, drapeado, y con un solo tirante. Éste, adornado con tres flores que le dan un aire primaveral y alegre.

En cuanto a la falda, tenemos un corte imperio que cae desde debajo del pecho.

Tenemos dos capas: en primer lugar, una falda corta que llega a la mitad del muslo dejando lugar a las piernas, pero sin ser exagerado. Esto se debe a la falda larga de gasa que cae desde el pecho, abierta por delante y más larga por detrás. Esto es lo que nos da la gracia del vestido: el vuelo, la frescura, la elegancia.

¿Y los complementos? 

Como sabéis, me gusta el choque. Por ello, he elegido un color coral que rompe con el oscuro del vestido. Así que os invito a que hagáis lo mismo y que os atreváis con colores vivos y que resalten.

El tirante con elementos decorativos hace que poner un collar quizá sea demasiado. Pero si os apetece poneros uno, ¡que sea finito!

No lo olvides, menos es más. Siempre apuesto por looks sencillos y juveniles, sin recargar. Muchas veces, nos colocamos millones de adornos porque creemos que no hay manera de estar increíbles. I fell in love with this dress since the first moment I saw it, and I phoned 24-200 Fotógrafos to show you this look.

 

Again, a dress suitable for everyone. This time I’ve trusted in Sfera to create a guest-look perfect for an event of Spring or Summer, and for weddings celebrated in the morning, afternoon or night.

 

Let’s go step by step!

First, the top.

It has a sweetheart neckline, it is draped, and only has one strap decorated with three flowers, which gives it a spring-like and lively touch.

As far as the skirt is concerned, we’ve got an Imperial Style that falls from the chest.

There are two layers: a short skirt that goes until the thigh, that reveals the legs; and a large muslin skirt that falls from the chest, opens in the front and longer in the back. This gives the dress the fullness, freshness and elegance, like a summer night!

 

What about the complements?

As you know, I like the shock element. That’s why I have chosen coral, that crashes with the dark dress. So I invite you to do the same, to be adventurous and wear vibrant colours that emphasize your look.

The decorative elements in the strap are enough, if you want to wear a necklace, it should be small and thin!

Sometimes we wear a lot of things because we think that it’s impossible to be incredible. But let me tell you something: you are beautiful, and as long as you smile, even the dress will look more beautiful, and you’ll be amazing.

Invitada low cost – Low cost guest.

Ya ha salido el sol.

Con él, llegan los eventos, las fiestas, las celebraciones.

¿No sabes qué ponerte? Hay que aprovechar el calor y la luz que nos da  el verano para sacar lo mejor de ti. Y con los tiempos que corren, hoy tenemos una invitada low-cost.

Me encanta este vestido! Se trata de un vestido largo, con escote palabra de honor y de un color atrevido: el rojo. Podemos utilizarlo en primavera y verano tanto para bodas de días como de noche. La ventaja es que es muy fresquito y juvenil, y que si lo usamos de día no quedará fuera de lugar.

Este verano ZARA nos ha enganchado con vestidos largos y frescos que, dependiendo de con qué los combines, podrás ponértelo tanto para ir a una cena como, en este caso, para ir de boda. Es MUY barato, y por ese precio, ¿quién no tiene un vestido así?

Vayamos a los detalles:

La tela es muy blandita, es un tipo de gasa muy agradable al tacto y comodísimo.

Tiene un forro corto que hace que el bajo tenga más movimiento.

En la cintura, como podéis ver en la foto, hay elementos decorativos plateados y dorados que le dan el toque elegante que necesitamos. Se ajusta al cuerpo y hace una figura estupenda.

Ahora, hablemos de los complementos.

He elegido un bolso (PRIMARK) de color gris-plateado, combinando con la pedrería de la cintura. Además, con un color tan vivo en el vestido, en cuanto lo vi pensé que sería perfecto.

Los pendientes (PRIMARK), por su parte, también son plateados. Al tener un vestido con escote de palabra de honor, tenemos dos opciones: ponernos un collar con unos pendientes pequeños, o elegir unos pendientes grandes, como he hecho yo.

Do you need an idea of what you can wear? We have to take advantage of the heat and light to let out the best of us. Today, we have a low-cost guest with us.

I love this dress! It’s  long, strapless and red; we can wear it in Spring and Summer, and in the morning and afternoon. The advantage is that it’s fresh and youthful, and if we wear it in the morning it won’t look out of place.

This summer, we’re getting hooked on ZARA’s long and fresh dresses that, depending on the complements, could be useful to wear it to a dinner or at a wedding. This dress is very cheap, so with this price, who wouldn’t buy a dress?

 

Let’s see the details:

The cloth is very soft, comfortable and pleasant kind of crêpe.

At the waist, as you can see, there are silver and golden decorative elements that give us an elegant touch. It fits the body, highlighting a beautiful figure.

 

Now, let’s talk about the complements:

I’ve chosen a greyish-silver bag, combined with the decorative elements. This will go well with the flashy dress.

The earings are also silver, while the strapless dress give us two options: wear a big necklace or big earings.

For the bracelets, we can choose silver and red colours. I suggest some of the selections from Madaleta.es, an artisanal store. I think you’ll love it!

In relation to the shoes, we can continue with the red and silver colours, it depends on you.

We definitely don’t need to spend a lot of money to look beautiful. You have to find your own style—something comfortable—and you’ll be perfect!

Vestido corto – Short dress

Hoy vamos a presentar otro look de invitada completamente diferente a lo que hemos visto anteriormente.

Ya vimos un look para bodas de media tarde, e incluso de noche. Pero… ¿qué me pongo si la boda se celebra por la mañana?

¡Aquí tenéis una idea!

Se trata de un vestido corto, como podéis ver, bastante por encima de la rodilla. Deja lucir las piernas, y ese color tan llamativo nos da mucha luz.

Hay varias cosas que resaltar de él:

En primer lugar, el cuello. Es un vestido con cuello de cisne, que se sujeta al cuello con un cordón. A este tipo de cuello no le favorece ningún collar, ni cualquier otro complemento. Además, en este caso tiene elementos decorativos que ya lo hacen especial.

Por otra parte, la espalda. Como podéis ver, tiene una abertura que deja ver parte de la espalda, de una forma muy sexy y sutil al mismo tiempo.

Y ahora, los complementos:

Para este vestido he escogido tres: un brazalete (Mango Accesories), un bolso de mano (Primark) y los zapatos (Primark). Todos ellos combinados, y siguiendo la línea del vestido. El color claro da un toque elegante, y combina perfectamente con él.

¿Y mi acompañante?

Generalmente, a no ser que el chico sea padrino o testigo, visten traje de chaqueta y corbata. Este vestido no pide un esmoquin o un chaqué, ¡por lo que esta vez lo tienen bastante fácil! Eso sí, soy partidaria de que el vestido y la corbata vayan a juego... ¡tú decides!

Today, we’re going to present a new look for guests—something very different from the other posts.

We’ve already seen styles for afternoon and night weddings…but what should I wear if it’s going to be celebrated in the morning?

Here is an idea!

It’s a short dress, and, as you can see, it’s really above the knees. It lets us see our legs, and its color illuminates us.

These are some things to emphasize on it:

First off: the neck. It’s a dress with a swan neck, which wraps around the neck with fabric. This kind of neck style doesn’t need a necklace or any other complement. Its decorative elements are enough, which makes the dress special.

Next, the back. As you can see, it has a little opening that lets us see part the back in a sexy way, yet subtle at the same time.

And now, let’s look at the complements:

I’ve chosen three: the bracelet (Mango), the hand-bag (Primark) and the high-heels (Primark).  All of them combined continue the line of the dress. The light color gives it a smart touch, and combines perfectly with the dress.

What about my partner?

Generally, unless it’s the man the godfather or the witness, they wear a suit and a tie. This outfit doesn’t need a dinner jacket or a morning-coat, so this time it’s easy! But for sure, I like that the dress and the tie are combined. You decide!

Princesa de noche / Night princess

Hoy vamos a convertirnos en princesas.

Vamos a imaginar que es de noche. La temperatura es perfecta, se pueden ver las estrellas, y de vez en cuando los árboles bailan con el viento.

Llevamos una hora colocándonos el pelo, maquillándonos, y esperando el momento de ponernos el vestido.

Nuestra amiga se casa en el centro de Madrid con el hombre al que ha querido toda su vida.

Después de estar meses pensando qué ponernos ese día, por fin lo encontramos.

Se trata de un vestido largo. Es azul oscuro y de una tela parecida al raso.

Es de corte imperio, ajustándose al cuerpo por debajo del pecho, lo que le da una caída y un movimiento especial.

Los vestidos largos son apropiados para bodas de noche y de tarde (ya que éstas suelen acabar ya habiendo anochecido). Los colores, la tela y los detalles dependerán de la hora y de la época del año en la que nos encontremos.

En este caso, podremos utilizar este vestido tanto en verano como en invierno, ya que la combinación de color oscuro y tela ligera nos da más juego, no desentonando en ninguno de los dos casos.

El escote es en V, y los tirantes son del mismo color del vestido. Puede resultar muy favorecedor para aquellas mujeres que no tengan mucho pecho, y hay que tener cuidado con aquellas que sí lo tienen. Si eres de las que apenas tiene, no te preocupes que con el sujetador adecuado podrás lucirte.

Por lo que respecta a la parte de atrás, podemos ver que corta en mitad de la espalda, detalle que lo hace más bonito porque permite lucir esta parte del cuerpo de forma fina y elegante.

En cuanto a la falda, a mí me parece perfecta. Al caer desde el pecho tiene movimiento, y da un aire sofisticado al vestido. La tela está plisada, es decir, aparenta dobleces haciéndolo menos serio que si fuese completamente liso.

Como podéis ver, la caída es muy bonita y cómoda.

Además, sienta bien a todo tipo de figuras, ya que no se ajusta y no muestra esas cositas que a veces queremos esconder.

Por último, vamos a ver los detalles. Por debajo del pecho, donde empieza la caída, rodea el tronco una fila de pedrería. Este detalle le da otro toque al vestido, da un poco de color, de brillo.

Para la elección de zapatos, en una próxima publicación os daré algunos consejos, pero ahora vamos a ceñirnos en este ejemplo de vestido.

Podemos continuar con la línea del vestido, eligiendo unos tacones azul oscuro. Debido a que es una boda de tarde/noche y que el vestido es de raso, debemos elegir zapatos de una tela acorde a lo que llevamos.

Opciones de color: plateado, blanco, azul oscuro. En esta ocasión no voy a salirme de ahí; a pesar de que a mí (personalmente) me gusta hacer contrastes y llevar unos zapatos que rompan con el look (sin quedar fuera de lugar), creo que hay ocasiones en las que tenemos que ser más sobrios, y buscar otros detalles que nos hagan destacar.

Por ejemplo, los complementos. Es un vestido sencillo, y ya tenemos pedrería en color plata, así que sugiero complementos de plata y azules.

Today we’re going to become princesses.

We’re going to imagine that night is here. The temperature is perfect, we can see the stars and the trees dancing with the wind.

We’ve been brushing our hair for one hour, while making ourselves up and waiting to wear the dress.

Our friend is getting married in the center of Madrid with the man she’s been in love her whole life.

After some months thinking about what we can wear, we have finally found it.

It’s an Empire dress that joins to our body under the bust, which gives it a nice fall with a special movement.

Long dresses are appropiate for afternoon and night weddings. The colors and details will depend on the season and hour of the event.

In this case, we can wear this dress in the summer and in the winter, because the combination between the dark blue and the light cloth go with every season.

The neckline is a V and the straps’ color is the same as the dress. It could be favored by those women who doesn’t have too much bust, meanwhile we have to be careful with those who have a lot. If you don’t have too much bust, don’t worry! By wearing a good bra you’ll be perfect.

We can see that the back of the dress cuts down to the middle of the back—a detail that makes the dress more beautiful and allows us to show off this part of the body with style.

To me the skirt is a great fit. It falls from under the bust and it has pleated cloth, which makes the dress less serious.

As you can see, it is beautiful and comfortable.

The skirt goes with all types of bodies, because it doesn’t accentuate those parts that we are trying to hide.

Finally, let’s look at the details. Under the bust, where the fall starts, a line of precious stones goes around our body. It gives color and glamour to the dress.

Now, the choice of shoes. (I’ll give you some advise for those in a new post!).

Because it’s of the time of day (afternoon/night) of the wedding and because of the cloth of the dress, we must choose shoes to match what we’re wearing.

As we continue with the line of the dress we can chose to wear dark blue high-heels, but we can also choose silvery shoes. Both choices would work nicely with the style of the dress!

In this case I wouldn’t opt for contrast; I think there are occasions when we should be more moderate and look for other details that makes us stand out.

For example, let’s focus on the complements. It’s a simple dress, and we already have silvery precious stones, so I suggest complements in silver and blue.

Now just be beautiful… and enjoy!

Look Invitada / Invited look

Siempre que nos toca ir a un evento, y en este caso a una boda, la primera pregunta es: ¿qué me pongo? ¡Basta de agobios! ¡Que ya estoy aquí! 😉

Empezaremos por lo básico: nunca (NUNCA) iremos a una boda de blanco o de negro, y jamás queriendo llamar la atención más que la novia.

Hoy voy a enseñaros un vestido de cóctel en color marrón ceniza, apropiado tanto para bodas de mañana como para bodas celebradas a primera hora de la tarde.

Se trata de un vestido de Adolfo Domínguez que llega hasta la rodilla, y no debemos confundirlos con vestidos cortos. El que nos interesa hoy es un poco más largo, la calidad es mayor, y tiene más detalles, como bordados, pedrería, etc.

Es un vestido con caída desde la cintura, y un largo que pasa un poco de la rodilla. El lazo, que rodea la cintura, nos estiliza y nos favorece a la figura.

Como podéis ver, la tela superior es parecida al tul, y toda ella está decorada con pequeñas lentejuelas y un pespunteado en color plateado.

En cuanto a la espalda, abierta hasta casi la cintura, hace del vestido algo especial, y en mi opinión, algo aún más bonito.

Para los zapatos he elegido algo divertido, que resaltara, nada más y nada menos que beige, azul y verde. Son de la cadena de tiendas Imagine.

Los complementos, se Svarovski son discretos, ya que lo que intentamos es resaltar el vestido, que ya de por sí tiene mucha personalidad. Los complementos extravagantes y coloridos los dejaremos para vestidos más lisos y sin ningún estampado.

Podríamos acompañar este vestido con un bolso pequeño, discreto, de alguno de los colores que llevamos puestos.

También puede favorecerle un tocado. Yo soy más de tocados pequeños, nada grande o llamativo, y menos en estos vestidos que ya hablan por sí solos.

Un momento… ¿y mi acompañante?

Según el protocolo, la vestimenta para hombre más apropiada para este tipo de vestidos es el chaqué oscuro. Lo que ocurre normalmente es que, exceptuando a testigos, padrino y novio, los hombres van con traje de corbata. Yo opino que dentro de las posibilidades que tiene, el look del hombre es con traje y corbata, siendo ésta del mismo color que el vestido o los complementos de su acompañante.

¡Conclusión!

–  Para una boda por la mañana o al comenzar la tarde, deberemos elegir un vestido de cóctel que nos favorezca, tanto en forma como en colores.

–  Estos vestidos son hasta la rodilla aproximadamente, elegantes, y con detalles decorativos.

–  Podemos acompañarlo con un bolso pequeño, tacones y un tocado.

Acordaos de que “menos es más”, y lo más importante de todo, sentíos guapas sea lo que sea lo que os pongáis.

Everytime we have to go to an event—to a wedding in this case—the first question is: what should I wear? Well no need to stress, I’m here!

We’ll start with the basics: we´ll never (NEVER) go to a wedding wearing white or black, and never attract more attention than the bride.

Today I’m going to show you a brown cocktail dress, appropriate for morning and the first hour of the afternoon weddings.

It’s an Adolfo Domínguez dress that goes to the knees, that we shouldn’t confuse them with short dresses. The one we’re interested in is a little bit longer, the quality is better, and it has more details (embroidery or precious stones, for example.)

It’s a dress that falls from the waist, and  long to the knees. The bow, which surrounds the waist, stylizes us and agrees with our figure.

As you can see, the kind of cloth is something like tulle, and it is decorated with little sequins and a silvered-colour backstitch.

As far as back is concerned, it’s open to the waist, and it makes the dress something special, and in my opinion, something more beautiful.

I chose quirky and colorful high-heeled shoes from the store Imagine; I wanted them to stand out from the rest.

The Svaroski accessories are modest, since we’re trying to stand out with the dress (which has personality itself). We’ll leave extravagant and color accessories to plain and unpattern dresses.

We could match the dress with a little bag discreetly, and with one of the colors we’re wearing.

It can also go with a head-dress. I like the little head-dresses more, nothing big or flashy, especially with a dress like this one, which speaks for itself.

But wait… what about my partner?

According to protocol, a man’s  appropriate wear to this type of dress is a dark morning-coat. But what actually happens is men wear a suit and a tie, except for the fiancé, the best man and the witness. I think that the best look for men, is a suit and a tie, which has to be the same color as the partner’s dress.

Conclusion:

–   For a morning or an early afternoon wedding, we should choose a cocktail dress that go with us, in form and in color.

–   The dresses go to the knees, they’re elegant and they’ve got decorative details.

–   We can accompany it with a little bag, high-heels and a head-dress.

So this is my advise! I hope it helps you out for the big occasion!

And remember: “less is more”, and most importantly, feel beautiful with the dress you wear.

Winter trends!

Ya está aquí el invierno, y con él la necesidad de elegir el vestido apropiado.

La norma fundamental en la elección del vestido es que nos probaremos tantos como sea necesario hasta que nos encontremos cómodas, seguras y perfectas con uno de ellos.

Ahora ya ha llegado el frío, y los colores que nos rodean son diferentes. Este año se ha apostado mucho por los colores pastel, y vamos dejando atrás los ocres y amarillos que caracterizan al otoño.

Debemos buscar los complementos, tanto para el vestido como para el ramo, o incluso del evento en general, que cumplan con la armonía y la lógica, que se complementen y creen una imagen con estilo.

Entonces… ¿qué me pongo?

Últimamente estamos viendo vestidos con mucho volumen, tanto en cortes de princesa como en sirena.

El tul, las plumas, los fruncidos, son aliados imprescindibles en este tipo de prendas, y con un cuerpo ajustado, ¡tu figura se verá increíble!

El encaje también ha sido un protagonista en las pasarelas, y tanto en mangas como en el vestido, te darán un toque romántico que seguro que te encantará.

En cuanto a los tirantes, la tendencia se encuentra en la asimetría y el escote en palabra de honor. El efecto es completamente distinto, ¡y debes tener cuidado con los complementos!

El escote asimétrico, si tu vestido lo permite, combínalo con un collar pequeño. Puede parecer que tu cuello esté sobrecargado, ya que a veces el tirante cruza de un lado del pecho al otro, otras veces ocupa la parte superior del pecho, y otras, como en la imagen, ya llevan detalles decorativos, por lo que no deberíamos llevar collar.

En cuanto al escote en palabra de honor, podemos atrevernos con complementos más llamativos, e incluso con color.
